Next time you purchase a new water valve, or install a new water softener, or maybe specify a new water tank, stop for a moment and take a closer look at the supporting documentation. Not the commercial paperwork or product manuals, but the part that is often ignored: the declarations of compliance and conformity.

It is sometimes said, “If you want a job doing, ask a busy person.” One could add to this paradox, “If you want that job doing well, ask a busy Sardinian!”. Residential Valve Area Leader, Sara Basilicò from Sardinia brought those qualities to Tuscany when she joined the Pentair Pisa Manufacturing team in 2008.

As Global Valve Category Leader, Matteo Rota is behind the strategy for delivering Pentair’s market-leading water treatment components. His finger on the pulse of new product development, the evolution of existing product lines and the overall health of the Pentair European components operation. 

It is not every day that you see a crane peering through a hole in your factory roof. For the Pentair team at Herentals it happened twice in eight weeks! Dangling from the crane; three tonnes of heavy plant, first starting a journey to rehabilitation, and then returning as a revived beast. But there was method in this madness. The unusual operation was essential for the upgrade of machinery that will not only bring new production capacity, quality and reliability for Pentair customers, but also marks the start of WellMate Pressurised Tank production in Europe.

A plumber friend of mine was recently working on the refurbishment of a house, built in 1979 and largely untouched since. In the utility room, he found the still functioning water softener, complete with its original mechanical valve; an early Fleck 5600. After nearly 40 years of continuous service, he was pleased to report that it was in still in perfect working condition.

And that is why Hillewaert NL found itself looking for a better filtration solution than the one they had been using for many years. That search led them to Pentair Everpure Claris – and they are very pleased it did!  We caught up with the team at Hillewaert and they told us about their business and the big improvements Claris filtration cartridges are making to its water treatment service.

The Everpure brand, which celebrates 90 years on the market in 2023, is one of the most recognised amongst foodservice operators worldwide, and has been instrumental in the Aqua Crystal success story. Founder and Managing Partner, Panayiotis Psaras, talked to us about his business and the power that his partnership with Pentair brings. 

Pentair sets the benchmark for water quality with its treatment, filtration and RO systems. Its foodservice division saw double digit growth in 2022 but Sales Director Karla Van Ryckeghem is not complacent. She believes customer satisfaction and loyalty needs to be earned and retained every day. And that requires a team dedicated to delivering outstanding service and focussed on what it does best.
