Next time you purchase a new water valve, or install a new water softener, or maybe specify a new water tank, stop for a moment and take a closer look at the supporting documentation. Not the commercial paperwork or product manuals, but the part that is often ignored: the declarations of compliance and conformity.

It is sometimes said, “If you want a job doing, ask a busy person.” One could add to this paradox, “If you want that job doing well, ask a busy Sardinian!”. The island is noted for a superb work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude. Residential Valve Area Leader, Sara Basilicò from Sardinia brought those qualities to Tuscany when she joined the Pentair Pisa Manufacturing team in 2008.

As Global Valve Category Leader, Matteo Rota is behind the strategy for delivering Pentair’s market-leading water treatment components. His finger on the pulse of new product development, the evolution of existing product lines and the overall health of the Pentair European components operation.

For Pentair, nothing is more important than the responsibility of compliance with water quality standards. Every year hundreds of thousands of Euros are invested in maintaining European regulatory certifications. 2022 wasn’t an exception and we’d like to share with you our most recent achievements.

Over the years, we have repeatedly heard from partners operating in commercial and industrial applications a call for Building Information Modeling (BIM) files supporting our products.

If we told you that three of our valves had just had their safety certificates renewed, we would forgive you for being indifferent.  “After all,” you may ask, “isn’t that what we would expect from a responsible manufacturer?” And of course, you would be right.

As recently informed, we are working on a daily basis to mitigate supply disruption caused by the many global commodities and logistics challenges the whole industry has been facing since many months. We continue to search for alternative sources and different configurations, in order to minimize the risk of interrupting our deliveries as much as possible.

Wherever you are in the world, tastes and needs vary. It’s as true in product design as it is in fashion. With a history of innovation, Pentair invests time and resource in designing products specifically for the European market. The Pentair European Product Design Team talk about the process, how they cater for local needs and how they collaborated with multi-award-winning Italian designer, Roberto Paoli, to create an iconic softener for the European home.

We will accept last orders for these products until December 31, 2021. These orders will be subject to longer lead times as we will schedule them in amongst other production demands. After December 31, 2021, we will take no further orders, and the valves will be discontinued.
